-Team CAT and DOG Reactions
Our world is filled with cat and dog lovers. And of course, there are also some who love both equally! In The Good Life, the townspeople of Rainy Woods will give Naomi different reactions when she's a cat or dog based on what team they're on! Check the video for more info!
But that's not all! Certain townspeople also run shops and restaurants in town, and will give Naomi a discount based on how much of a devotee she is to either Team CAT or Team DOG! We think this will add another layer of fun to the game, through allowing players to strategize based on which shops they use the most. Please be nice to everyone though, regardless of what team they're on!

Raising Sheep
We think the sheep mechanics in The Good Life are turning out pretty well, so this month's update will be a sheep-centric one.
Aside from capturing sheep yourselves, you may also purchase them at Lonette's farm. You will also be able to entrust your sheep to her farm and raise them there. Raising up your sheep will not only allow you to ride them, but will also allow you to shear them and gain items. Brushing them will also make them more valuable. In the video, you can see the sheep's fluffiness parameter rise. Daily care is very important! We hope you're all excited to look after your sheep.
By the way, Lonette trains with barbells quite often. She's very into keeping physically fit. But there's something a little different about her compared to a normal physically fit person... Can you tell what it is? Yes it seems like she's been giving her right arm a little more training than the rest of her body...
There isn't a single boring person to be found in Rainy Woods!

Hero Statues!
In The Good Life, you'll be able to discover five Hero Statues located in different places. These statues are based on real people, including developers who worked on The Good Life, as well as backers who contributed a great deal to the croudfunding campaign. Each armoured hero has their own story to tell, and watch over the world of The Good Life with a dignified air. The visual design and poses of the statues were based on photos and videos that were sent to us from backers. The staff members who worked on these are pretty proud of how cool they managed to make each one look! Whenever you manage to find a hero statue along your adventures, be sure to stop and take a picture!

Hello everyone. This is SWERY, the director of the game.
Sorry to keep you all waiting for so long!! Today, I am proud to announce that THE IRREGULAR CORPORATION, located in London, England, will be the publisher for the digital version of The Good Life.
THE IRREGULAR CORPORATION is an indie publisher that belongs to the Tonic Games Group. I felt that they had a deep understanding of this game's charm from an early stage during our talks, and also noticed that they're a very rare (and awesome) type of team who believes that developers should have creative control.
Am I the only one who thinks it can't be mere coincidence that we found a English publisher while working to finish this game we've set in England?
I can guarantee that our new connection with them will only make The Good Life an even better game, so I hope you're all excited!
...Now then. With the publisher decided, your next questions are probably something like "Okay, fine, but when can we play the game?" or "When are you going to send out the surveys?"
After analyzing things from different perspectives and some detailed discussion, we've decided that The Good Life will be released in Summer 2021.
Naomi's reaction: "Goddammit, I want to play now!"
But please understand that we only made this decision because we know it will make the game better. We're confident that this will allow us to deliver the game to you in the best condition possible. After a lot of thinking and going back and forth, this was the conclusion we arrived at. I hope you all understand, and please keep cheering us on.

Personally, I want to deliver The Good Life to you all as quickly as possible. But I also understand after working on it so hard for such a long time that just a little more TLC will make it a lot better overall in the end. That's why I hope you'll give us all the time to further polish what we've built up.

Hello backers! I'm SWERY, the director of The Good Life.
I pray from the bottom of my heart that everyone is living safely during these dangerous times.
Recently I have been thinking about how it's about time we announced the release date of The Good Life. Our last update was in March, so I know you've all been waiting very patiently. Unfortunately, however, we are still not ready yet, so I can't announce the date today. I'm very sorry about that.
I plan to make the announcement soon, but we all have to wait just a bit longer. The development team is working hard day and night to make sure we can deliver you the best game possible. I really, really, really hope you understand.
To thank you for your patience and understanding, I would like to release to you all another music video from the soundtrack. This song talks about another big theme from the game: "Money."
Last month we released the main theme of the game: "The Good Life," which was built around the wonderful life that's possible in Rainy Woods. This song, "Money! Money!" is supposed to conjure up images of Naomi's life in New York.
The song is performed by THE BAD LIVES featuring Courtney Knott. All of these talented people got together just for the sake of the game! I hope you really enjoy their hard work!
Currently, we're working on adding tons of details to the landscapes so that you can enjoy walking around the area even more. You'll definitely run into some picture-perfect landscapes that make you unable to resist snapping a shot! Today we'll introduce some of them to you.
This is a photo taken of the sheep and the mountains in the morning. In the distance, you can see what looks like a castle gate. Herdwick sheep and an old castle... How much more English can you get?
This is a shot of some autumn colours. In this world, there's a specific area that always has autumn colours available, so you might find yourself stopping by it over and over again. This shot was taken in a bit of an offroad area, so hopefully you can find it!
This is a photo of a waterfall in the rain. It may look a bit melancholic, but we wanted to include it to show you that there are precarious areas for you to explore as well, including the northern mountains which we've introduced earlier. We hope you enjoy exploring the many different sides of the world we've created.
This is a photo of a different town outside of Rainy Woods. Recently, we've been able to add other NPCs to the game outside of the Rainy Woods residents, so the world is definitely feeling livelier now. You'll see people walking along the streets and going about their daily lives now. I wonder where these people are going?
This is a photo of a tent by a riverside. I'd like to go camping in a place like this too... You'll find many stone bridges in the game, including the one that's over this river. With The Good Life, stone bridges and small rivers were two important elements of the landscape that we made sure to include.
